As the racing sailboats appeared on the horizon, Abby spotted her brother's spinnaker. She excitedly called over to her friends that Joel was in the lead and headed for the finish line. This was his moment of victory and she was so pleased for him.

This figure seems to be one of your strongest paintings. I believe you like to draw people, and you should fill your children's book illustrator's portfolio with pictures of children and animals in their environments. While the lobsters are interesting, you must figure out a way to put them in an applicable setting for children - non-fiction/realistic, or fiction/fun.
